Help! artists opinion needed!!!?

I would probably go with a dark solid color or a simple gradation because there is already so much busy action and details within the skull, and you want that to stand out most. You don't want the background to be too distracting, otherwise it takes away from the subject. As others have suggested, I would probably outline the word "Beauty" in white or a shiny/sparkly color and make the letters a little thicker so that it pops against the background. Or perhaps you can do a solid color with some splotches of red "blood" or splatter paint. As for medium, I would probably use something bold like a marker, because colored pencils will look weak and might ruin it. It would get all mixed up with the textures and mark making of the skull and rose, so I would avoid colored pencils if possible. Also, if you haven't glued down the skull yet (it seems like it's floating off the paper a bit, so I'm guessing it's not?) you can paste it onto construction paper. That way, you won't have to worry about a background and it would allow the skull to stand out and be eye-catching. Then you can cut out the rose and words (leave a white outline) and glue it onto the page as well. Just some suggestions for you to consider. I hope that all made sense. Goood luck and I hope you can find an idea soon! :)
