Why did this guy call me a sinner?

This guy at the store tried calling me a sinner because I had a tattoo, and called me a devil worshiper? He gave me a card saying Jesus saves, saying how he is trying to save as many people as he can? I'm confused, what is he trying to save me from? I'm not no Devil worshiper. Is sinner even a word?
