Why have my teeth gone this way?

i had a total hysterectomy 10yrs ago and since then my teeth have gone funny they are yellow, and gone dekay, every time i go to a dentist they tell me it's because my hormones are out of wack is this true?, i brush 3 times a day and have done since i was 5yr old i am now 42
