Math gets on my nerves sometimes, help with this problem pls thx?

"Lulu 49" is fine until the last answer...there is no logic in dividing by 2....if dad can do 1/10th and son then 1/6th then adding together and dividing by 2 implies together they do less than the son by himself....hmm...maybe that was Lulu's logic
